Finally the Pagerank update has come for February 2014 and techmell’s pagerank is still 2. We are happy that we have maintained our pagerank successfully and congrats to all bloggers and webmasters which got higher pagerank. We know the reason that why our pagerank is same, because backlinks for our homepage are low in quantity and quality also. I am going to discuss the top reasons that why pagerank increased and decreased on this update.

Reasons: why pagerank increased:

Some people only think that backlinks only matter to get higher pagerank and nothing else, but they are wrong. Not only backlinks matter, also the quality of content also matters. If you are providing original high quality content then you will get higher pagerank, because bloggers loves to give links to high quality articles. If you want higher pagerank, you’ll need to get backlinks from high authority and good authority websites having pr 4 or 5 minimum. To get pr 2 is not a big deal, pr 3 4 5 is really difficult to get, because pagerank 2 needs much lower backlinks and quality as compare to pagerank 4 5.

Reason for dropped pagerank:

The only reason for dropped pagerank is low quality. You are making your blog or website low quality if you are not providing original high quality content and also if you are giving links to low reputation websites. If you have faced a downfall in your pagerank today, then first of all make all your external links nofollow and also remove of update low quality content from your blog.
