This simple tutorial will show you how to control who can see your Facebook photos. You can share them with your friends, with your friends' friends, or just with a small group of people. And you can set different permissions on each folder, so that you can share pictures of your office party with co-workers, and pictures of your kids with just your relatives.
  1. Your first step is to make sure you're logged into your Facebook account.
  2. Click on the "Account" link on the upper right hand side of the page.
  3. Click "Privacy Settings" in the drop-down box.

You can choose to allow "Everyone" to see everything about your (and this means everyone), "Friends of Friends" (this is anyone who is a friend of anyone you're a friend with on Facebook - you have no control over who these people are), "Friends Only" and then there are finer controls. For some reason, Facebook recommends that all of your status updates, photos, etc., are viewable to the entire world. • If you're afraid of pictures being stolen, set privacy to only friends and use a digital watermark.
  • For pictures of nature, buildings and other generic images, consider sharing with everyone unless you're concerned about your copyright.
  • For pictures of friends, especially those in public situations, share with friends or friends of friends.
  • When posting pictures of children, especially if they aren't your own (please ask permission before posting!), share with just friends.
