Cyber Monday deals 2020: when they begin and what to expect
When is Cyber Monday? The official date is November 30, 2020, though many of the Cyber Monday deals are in place well in advance of the online shopping frenzy.
Cyber Monday 2020 is biggest online shopping day every year, and that's why we're tracking the discounts at major retailers. It's your time to save, without question. But you may be asking: What is on sale for Cyber Monday?
So far, we're seeing good deals on 4K TVs, cheap laptops, robot vacuums and DNA Kits. You shouldn't pay full price for any of these things in late 2020. Walmart and Best Buy are already rolling out deals this week, and Amazon is blanketing the entire season, from Black Friday to Cyber Monday with its Holiday Deals.
You shouldn't pass up deals from Target, Macy's and Kohl's either. These traditional retailers often have the best deals on Apple Watch, iPad deals and AirPods. At least that's how it has been from our experience with past Cyber Monday deals.
Cyber Monday deals will be your last chance to save
Cyber Monday started as an online shopping marketing stunt, and it'll be your last chance to save big. We'll quickly explain why.
Cyber Monday is November 30, so it'll leave just 25 days before Christmas and only 10 days before Hanukkah. Given shipping delay fears of most retailers, they will want you to shop in November, not December; the prices are likely to reflect their desire to have you shop on Cyber Monday or before.
In other words, it wouldn't make sense to discount anything in December – at least not with the best prices. So come December 1 at midnight, when Cyber Monday ends, expect prices to tick up on most things on Cyber Monday wish list.
Cyber Monday is going to be massive
Cyber Monday sales are going to be big in 2020 – bigger than what we saw last year, despite the global economic slowdown. Cyber Monday revenue last year was $9.2 billion, outpacing Black Friday, which sat at $7.4 billion. Cyber Monday 2020 is likely to be bigger yet, as most people will shop exclusively online due to the pandemic.
Driving these numbers are legitimately tempting deals – and opportunities to buy those sought after electronics at full price. For example, Cyber Monday may be your last chance to buy PS5. You'll be lucky if you find it in stock
Things like the iPad Pro 2020, Insta Pots, and last year's best seller, the AirPods Pro will be easier to get, but even the best AirPods Pro deal sold out last year when Walmart gave it a nice discount.
